Νontas Rentzis exhibites in London

Νontas Rentzis was born in 1939 in the Greek village Drymonas Trixonidos an lived his childhood during the climax of the common tragic fate of Greek people. After finishing highschool in Messologhi he studied dentist. He participates actively in the political and social strugles of his generation.
He started painting during the last years as a selfeducated painter.
In his work is making an effort to express pictures of a buygone era, which is lost but is deeply impressed to his mind. Through this effort is trying to essential communicate with current audiences.
Up to date has done 3 personal exhibitions and has participated in a series of group ones.
In the exhibition "taste of LONDON" (corganized in London by the British and Greek ministries of culture becides the LONDON 2012 OLYMPIC GAMES) participates with two paintings.

Ο Νώντας Ρεντζής συμμετέχει με δύο έργα του σε ομαδική έκθεση ζωγραφικής σύγχρονων Ελλήνων ζωγράφων, με γενικό τίτλο "taste of LONDON" που οργανώνεται στο Λονδίνο στα πλαίσια των εκδηλώσεων για τους Ολυμπιακούς αγώνες 2012, από τα υπουργεία πολιτισμού Ελλάδας και Μεγάλης Βρετανίας.

1. COMING BACK FROM THE FIELD
Typical old man of the Greek countryside until late 70s.
Hard work in harsh conditions and in harsh enviroment, regardless of age with only tool gnarled hands, and only help the donkey, old faithful companion and tiredless partners in the endless strugle for survival.



2. COFFE BRAKE 
A cigarette and a Greek coffe by the fireplace complete the break for a small meal and a breath of rest, before returning to the continuous hard work in the fields, necessary for the survival of himshelf and his family in the harsh conditions of this time.
